Extra space is one of the most common things homeowners wish they had more of. A shed or workshop can solve that problem, but the right choice depends on how you plan to use the space.
Sheds are ideal for basic storage. You can keep lawn tools, holiday decorations, bikes, and gardening supplies organized and out of the way. They’re relatively quick to build and don’t require complex installations.
Workshops, on the other hand, are built for function. If you’re into woodworking, mechanics, home brewing, or any type of hands-on work, a workshop gives you room to spread out. Many include features like windows, lighting, outlets, workbenches, and even heating or cooling.
We’ve built small utility sheds and large, fully finished outbuildings with roll-up doors and built-in shelving. The key is thinking ahead about what you’ll need 6 months or 6 years from now. It’s also worth looking into local zoning codes and property lines so you can build without complications.
We’ve built them all. Let’s sketch out what would work best in your backyard.
